November was a month full of meaning, celebration, and reflection - a time to honour those who have shaped our sport, connect with the next generation, and begin preparing for the final stretch of an unforgettable year as Miss Rodeo Canada.
The month began on a very special note at the Canadian Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame Awards Banquet, where we had the honour of celebrating the Class of 2025 inductees. This event is always such a memorable evening, filled with stories, legacy, and deep respect for the individuals who have helped shape Canadian rodeo into what it is today. One induction that was particularly meaningful to witness was that of Miss Rodeo Canada alumni Jerri Deuce, who was inducted alongside her sister as part of the legendary Flying Deuces. Seeing a former Miss Rodeo Canada recognized in this way was incredibly inspiring and a powerful reminder of the lasting impact rodeo queens continue to have on our sport. It was truly an honour to be a part of such a special night.
In between events, I was grateful for some time to focus on self-care as I make my way into the final stretch of the year. A visit with KT Beauty left my skin feeling refreshed and ready to take on my final weeks as Miss Rodeo Canada. Taking moments like these to recharge has been so important during such a busy season.
On Remembrance Day, I was honoured to attend a Remembrance Day ceremony as Miss Rodeo Canada alongside my grandparents. Together, we remembered my great-grandfathers who served in World War II, as well as the countless men and women who sacrificed so much to protect the freedoms we enjoy today.
Education and youth engagement continue to be one of the most rewarding parts of this role, and November included a wonderful school visit with the Carstairs Hugh Sutherland Rodeo Academy. I loved spending time with this group of students, sharing what it means to be a rodeo queen, discussing the history of rodeo royalty, and explaining the responsibilities we carry as ambassadors for the sport. Their curiosity, enthusiasm, and passion for rodeo made the visit incredibly fun and meaningful.
From there, I made my way to Edmonton for the PBR Canada Finals, where I was honoured to attend the Ty Pozzobon Foundation fundraising dinner. This evening was both impactful and emotional, bringing the rodeo community together in support of such an important cause. While there, I also had the privilege of attending the PBR Canada Year-End Awards, celebrating the outstanding achievements of our Canadian professional bull riders. Watching these athletes be recognized for their hard work and dedication was truly inspiring.
While in Edmonton, I also spent time visiting and personally thanking several of our incredible Miss Rodeo Canada competition sponsors for their continued support. These relationships mean so much to us, and I am endlessly grateful for the businesses and individuals who make this journey possible. I was also excited to stop by Lammle’s for an autograph signing before attending the PBR performance and what a performance it was! Seeing Canadian bull riders put on such an electrifying show never gets old.
The month wrapped up in Regina, Saskatchewan, at the Maple Leaf Circuit Finals Rodeo, a truly emotional and unforgettable way to conclude my rodeo travels in Canada as Miss Rodeo Canada. This event marked my final rodeo in Canada during my reign, and it was made even more special as it was my first time ever visiting Saskatchewan. Carrying the Canadian flag on the final night was a moment I will cherish forever, a powerful, full-circle experience that marked my final ride as Miss Rodeo Canada on Canadian soil.
As November came to a close, the rest of the month was spent preparing for the National Finals Rodeo and taking time to reflect on the countless special moments I have been so blessed to experience this year. The memories, the people, and the opportunities have been nothing short of extraordinary, and I am incredibly grateful for every step of this journey.
As we head into the final chapter of the year, my heart is full and I’m looking forward to everything that is yet to come!
