As we step into rodeo season, March provided the perfect opportunity to reset and recharge before a busy stretch of Canadian travel ahead!
After returning home from Florida, I was back on the road the very next day, this time to Utah for the Rodeo Queen Bootcamp Clinic. I was honoured to be invited as a clinician and to share in the experience of educating and inspiring the next generation of rodeo ambassadors. It was an incredible trip, and I’m deeply grateful to have been part of such a meaningful and empowering event.
Due to unseasonably warm weather and a lack of snow, the 2025 Pole & Spur Skijoring event was unfortunately cancelled. While disappointing, the change in schedule gave me a few quiet weekends at home, an unexpected but welcome chance to rest and reset. I made the most of my time reconnecting with family, friends, and my animals, which was really nice! I also had the opportunity to return to the classroom to use my teaching degree as a substitute teacher and be back in the dance studio to teach a few dance classes between sponsor visits and preparations for the exciting months ahead.
A major highlight this month was tuning in to Rodeo Houston on the Cowboy Channel. It was a thrill to watch and support several talented Canadian athletes who proudly represented Canadian rodeo on this major stage. Cheering them on from home and sharing updates with fans was a fun way to stay connected to the rodeo action this month!
March also marked the beginning of spring CPRA rodeos with the Rimbey West of the 5th Pro Rodeo. It was such a joy to be back in the arena, reconnecting with familiar faces and soaking in the energy of rodeo fans once again. I was especially thrilled to debut my brand new Woody’s saddle, generously sponsored by C5 Rodeo. It’s an absolute honour to ride in such a beautifully crafted saddle. I’m looking forward to all the memories and miles we’ll share this year!
To round out the month, I traveled to Montana for a truly special opportunity with Montana Silversmiths. Alongside Miss Rodeo America, I had the chance to tour their factory, learn about their craftsmanship, connect with their incredible team, and participate in a catalog photoshoot. It was an unforgettable experience, and I’m so grateful for the warm welcome and meaningful moments shared with the Montana Silversmiths family.
March was a month of reconnection, preparation, and celebration and now, I’m feeling energized and ready to ride full speed into the rodeo season ahead!
