March was our kick off to spring.. Or fourth winter!

The month kicked off with a trip down south to High River for the High River 4-H Areas public speaking event! I had so much fun as a judge watching our youth in agriculture show off their skills! Crowsnest Pass was my next stop as we had to take advantage of the snow and gorgeous weather with some skijoring! I was of course a little nervous to be on the tube for the cowboy curling rather than the horse, however, my teammate Ali Erskine was a champion who ended up placing me right where I needed to be to win the event! I had so much fun cheering on our skijorers and might strap on the skis to give it a try sometime. Maybe…

I had a wonderful trip to our sponsor Janine, who surprised me with our newest sponsor vest for 840 CFCW! It is stunning and I cannot wait to show off her creative design as well as advertise for our longest sponsor! Some beautiful blue boxes also came in the mail with my Montana Silversmith order inside! I am so thankful for the many pieces that I will be showing off throughout my year. They really complete my outfits and I love putting different styles together!

I have been heavily focusing my social media presence with title spotlights as well as horsemanship insights. I would love to spread my knowledge as much as I can this year.

We had a very special announcement this month, for our newest partner and sponsor Edmonton’s Best Hotels! We are so excited for their support this year and cannot wait to see our rodeo family reaping the rewards when you stay with Edmonton’s Best Hotels.

Traveling to our friends in the north for the Grande Prairie Stompede tarp auction was so much fun! I had a wonderful time visiting with our chuckwagon drivers and cheering them on as they received their sponsorships! It was a beautiful evening that made me so excited to be back for Stompede week in May!

Near the end of the month I drove my dad’s truck for the final time (Much to his relief!) to Innisfail Chrysler! I was absolutely speechless when I saw the Miss Rodeo Canada truck for the first time. That will be a core memory for me for the rest of my life. I am so thankful to the amazing team from Innisfail Chrysler for their unwavering generosity and kindness. I am so thankful to have such a beautiful ride for the year!

I drove right from the dealership back to my hometown of Rimbey for the kickoff of our journey to CFR50! The West of the 5th committee put on a wonderful rodeo even through the blizzard and it was some great rodeo action!

March was wrapped up with a trip down to Airdrie to visit with the remarkable team at the Pro Rodeo Canada headquarters! I spent the day learning about memberships, entries and some insider info to the behind the scenes of our rodeos up north! Thank you so much to the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association for having me and for supporting me down the rodeo trail. I am beyond grateful to represent your organization!

With my whole heart,

Miss Rodeo Canada 2024
