April brought a refreshing mix of travel, tradition, and time with those who make this journey so special. As always, it was a month full of learning, laughter, and a few surprise turns along the trail!
I kicked off the month with an adventure to Billings, Montana, where I had the incredible opportunity to visit one of our long-standing Miss Rodeo Canada sponsors, Montana Silversmiths. Touring their facility was an eye-opening experience of getting to see firsthand how the iconic buckles, jewelry, and pieces we wear with pride are brought to life. This was something I’ll never forget and made me appreciate the beauty behind this company even more than I already do! I was also so excited to have the opportunity to shoot their upcoming catalog alongside Miss Rodeo America, combining both our nations' western heritage and the heart behind this jewelry in front of the camera.
Back on Canadian soil, I was off to the Grande Prairie Tarp Auction, where I joined a community of passionate supporters gearing up for chuckwagon season. Soon after, I made a special stop in Airdrieat Cam Clark Ford, where I picked up my beautiful new Ford F-150. This truck will be my reliable sidekick for the rest of my year as I make many miles and memories across the country and I couldn't be more grateful for their support.
This month also brought time to connect in person with a few more of the incredible sponsors who help me look and feel my best. I paid visits to CVS Controls, Edmontons Best Hotels, Smithbilt Hats, Janine’s Custom Creations, and Lammle’s Western Wear, and was thrilled to join Lammle’s again at their pre-Canvas Auction event hosted for the Calgary Stampede chuckwagon drivers. The excitement continued with the 2025 Calgary Stampede Canvas Auction, where I witnessed an incredible show of support and enthusiasm for the upcoming Stampede.
April also gave me the chance to give back in a very special way. I was so honoured to take part in the Miss Rodeo Canada Alumni Clinic, lending my experience as a clinician and cheering on our up-and-coming queens as they prepare to represent rodeo with confidence and class. With a rare free Easter weekend thanks to a schedule change, I returned to my roots at the Thorsby High School Rodeo, where I had the absolute pleasure of announcing the Jr. and Sr. High rodeos that weekend. It felt good to be back behind the mic, and even better to reconnect with the youth of rodeo.
Self-care got a little spring update too! A visit to KT Beauty for a "spring cleaning" hydrofacial had me feeling refreshed and ready for the season ahead. Then it was off to Taber for the 2025 Spring Classic Rodeo, where I soaked in the small-town rodeo spirit and shared time with a community that truly lives the western lifestyle. I wrapped up the month in Red Deer at the 2025 Horse Expo, where I visited with sponsors including Fellowship of Christian Cowboys, The Creative Daughter, and Lammle’s, watched the always-inspiring Trainers Showdown, and helped present awards to some incredibly talented horsemen and women.
In the quieter moments between events, I’ve had the chance to substitute teach, run dance classes, help care for a bottle-fed preemie "house" calf and be hands-on at home during calving season. Life as Miss Rodeo Canada has been full, fast, and so rewarding and as always I’m beyond thankful for every moment of this adventure!
Can't wait for all that's yet to come,
