A Month of Milestones, Memories, and Meaningful Moments

September was a month that seemed to hold a year’s worth of memories, milestones, and moments that made me pause with gratitude. As my reign begins to wind down, I’ve found myself reflecting more than ever on the people and experiences that have shaped this journey, and September reminded me again and again of just how lucky I am to serve as Miss Rodeo Canada.

I began the month in Edmonton at 840 CFCW, joining AJ Keller live on air and recording my official farewell speech. Sitting in that studio was incredibly surreal. It made me realize just how fast this year has flown by, and it gave me a moment to appreciate the memories, friendships, and adventures that being Miss Rodeo Canada has brought into my life. Thank you to CFCW, our longest supporting sponsor, for your continued commitment to our program and for giving me such a meaningful place to reflect on this chapter.

During my time in Edmonton, I also had the pleasure of stopping by Lammle’s Western Wear to put together looks inspired by this year’s Canadian Finals Rodeo themes. I always enjoy spending time with the Lammle’s team, and getting to collaborate on CFR fashion is something I look forward to each season. Their enthusiasm and support never stop inspiring me.

From there, I traded Alberta skies for Oregon sunshine as I traveled to Pendleton for the legendary Pendleton Round-Up, a bucket-list event that has lived in my heart for years. Being able to experience this historic rodeo, be toured behind the chutes and witness traditions that have shaped the evolution of our sport was truly unforgettable. I was hosted with such warmth and generosity, and sharing the experience with Miss Rodeo America made it even more special. Some of my favourite moments included watching some of our Canadian athletes compete on the Pendleton field, sitting in on a production meeting to see the dedication behind the scenes, and touring the town’s historical landmarks that highlight Pendleton’s deep rodeo roots. It was a privilege to finally cross this rodeo off my long-running bucket list.

Returning home, I stepped right into the first rodeo of the 2026 season at Oldstoberfest, produced by C5 Rodeo. This event is always a unique mix of culture and excitement, and getting to carry the Canadian flag aboard a fjord horse was a moment I will never forget. Experiences like that remind me just how extraordinary this role truly is.

After Oldstoberfest wrapped up, the countdown to the Canadian Finals Rodeo officially kicked into gear with a fantastic media launch in Edmonton. Being surrounded by the partners and supporters responsible for bringing CFR back to the city filled me with so much pride and excitement. Their dedication to celebrating and elevating our sport is truly inspiring.

Before I could catch my breath, I was off again—this time all the way to the East Coast for the Nova Scotia Stampede. Visiting this part of Canada for the first time was incredibly special, and I was welcomed with such open arms. For many spectators, this was their first-ever rodeo experience, and watching their eyes light up with excitement and curiosity reminded me of the very heart of rodeo. As an ambassador, getting to educate new fans and share in their fresh enthusiasm meant the world to me. It was also the first time a Miss Rodeo Canada had traveled to this event, and I am so grateful to C5 Rodeo for making this opportunity possible.

After returning home, I quickly found myself immersed in another unforgettable experience—a visit to the C5 Ranch for their branding. Spending a few days with the C5 crew deepened my appreciation for the love, care, and effort that goes into raising and caring for their remarkable animals. Meeting some of their equine athletes and learning more about where they come from made me feel even more connected to the sport and the people who pour their hearts into it.

From the quiet of the ranch, I headed right back into the bustle of Edmonton as we kicked off CFR festivities with the Edmonton’s Best Hotels “Best Dressed Hotel” judging competition. Travelling around the city and seeing businesses decked out in creative western décor brought so much joy and energy into the community. I had an absolute blast participating in this event—thank you to Edmonton’s Best Hotels for including me in such a fun and spirited day.

My next stop was a photoshoot with The Parlour Restaurant, who invited me to be the very first participant in their new celebrity pizza campaign. They created the Rodeo Queen Pizza, with proceeds from October sales benefiting the Golden Circle of Champions—a cause that is very close to my heart. I was incredibly honoured to be chosen as the inaugural “celebrity” for this program and had such a great time helping promote a project that gives back in such a meaningful way.

And just like that, one of the busiest months of my reign came to a close with the arrival of the Canadian Finals Rodeo. This year brought a new kind of excitement as I welcomed the 2026 Miss Rodeo Canada contestants to the Château Lacombe to begin their competition journey. Standing on the other side of the moment I lived just one year ago made the week even more special. Being able to support them, encourage them, and experience their journey alongside them was something I will always treasure. I am so grateful to all the sponsors, judges, volunteers, and committee members who make the Miss Rodeo Canada competition week such a remarkable and meaningful experience.

Looking back on September, all I feel is gratitude. Gratitude for the people who support me. For the opportunities I’ve been given. For the rodeos and ranches and communities that welcomed me. For the memories created along the way. As Miss Rodeo Canada, I’ve been blessed with experiences that will stay with me for a lifetime, and September reminded me again and again just how special this chapter truly is.
