Diary

I find it difficult to believe that with one blink of my eye March is gone and we are already into the CPRA rodeo season.  Dana and I have had an amazing March travelling in and out of Canada attending the Houston Stock Show and Rodeo in Texas, Alberta Equestrian Federation annual conference, and the Little bits Therapeutic Riding Association’s first annual breakfast fundraiser.  We were also invited to Spruce Meadows by our generous saddle sponsors Cavalier for the CAN-AM buying market.

Dana and I attended the Houston Stock Show and Rodeo from March 7th- 11th and we enjoyed every moment of our trip. We had the opportunity to promote Canadian Rodeo in the grand entry each night that we attended the rodeo, and it was an honour to educate the public about the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association.  The rodeo took place in Reliant Stadium which holds approximately 75000 people, and the energy in the building during the performance was truly contagious and everyone that we encountered was very welcoming.

The 2010 Alberta Equestrian Federation annual conference took place in Red Deer, and we were able to attend the information sessions to learn more about managing fear, equine parasite control and the anatomy of fitting an equine bit.  Each session was very informative, and gave a deeper insight to various topics that are relevant to self and equine care.  We were thankful for the opportunity to personally thank the AEF for sponsoring a beautiful saddle pad, and for a chance to learn more about important topics regarding equine health.

I would like to extend sincere congratulations to the Little Bits Therapeutic Riding Association for a successful first annual breakfast fundraiser. It was an honour to be a guest, and witness touching testimonials regarding this successful program.  Keep up the great work, and thank you for allowing us to be a part of the fundraiser!

I would like to thank Cavalier for inviting Dana and I to the Can Am buying market, and graciously hosting us for the day.  I enjoyed meeting the buyers and staff throughout the day, and I genuinely appreciate the sponsorship for our beautiful saddles.

Thank you to all of our generous sponsors for lending a hand to the Miss Rodeo Canada Organization, and for allowing Dana and I to grow as individuals and collect incredible life experiences.  We appreciate the opportunity to educate individuals regarding Canadian Rodeo, and about our irreplaceable western living.

Wishing you all the best, and hope to meet you along my travels!
